Just Watercolours!
Hi this is Nayana,
I am a self-taught watercolour artist. I was born and raised in India where I graduated as a computer engineer and worked in a software firm for a few years before moving to Limerick, Ireland in 2008. Since then, I have been interested and involved in art especially watercolors. My interest and understanding of botanical art grew through my first solo exhibition in 2012 held at the University of Limerick, which was basically themed on flowers. I have been a regular participant in various annual exhibitions held in the country, won awards, and have offered demonstrations. I have contributed to books published by ISBA through illustrations. I am a member of the Watercolour Society of Ireland, the Irish Society of Botanical Artists, and the Limerick Art Society.
I choose my botanical subjects on inspiration. My objective is to present them as real and as natural as possible. I often enjoy the freedom of combining my interpretations and conventional ways of representing subjects to give them a vibrant and modern outlook.
